Pearce to hold events – Las Cruces Sun

LAS CRUCES – U.S. Rep Steve Pearce, R-NM, will host events in Las Cruces and Hatch on Feb. 4.

Pearce will meet with area veterans at 10 a.m. at the Cineport 10 Theater, inside the Mesilla Valley Mall, 700 S. Telshor. Staff from the VA Hospital in El Paso will also be in attendance, and will meet with veterans privately at 9:30 a.m. to discuss individual cases.

“After hearing concerns from area veterans related to the VA hospital system, I hosted several meetings last year in Roswell, Las Cruces, Alamogordo, Carlsbad, and Silver City to allow veterans and VA hospital staff to interact and communicate their ideas,” Pearce said. “This year we have met with veterans in Artesia. Both veterans and VA staff have communicated that these meetings were extremely successful, and I look forward to helping vets in Las Cruces with similar needs.”

Then, Pearce will host a meet and greet in Hatch, starting at 2 p.m. at Franciscan RV, 661 Franklin Street. He will talk about job growth, the economy, Medicare and Social Security, and other issues of importance. He will also answer questions from attendees. A Spanish translator will be present.
